What is the average time a tree takes to grow?

A tree never stops growing, they grow every year, from being a baby tree into a 25 years old tree or 1000 years old tree. Adding each year another circle of growth until they die. It is fair to say that there are no final forms of trees. Planting trees when fire after fire are burning down pristine forests, is one step forward we all can take, to create new beginnings.

A forest big enough to fill a football pitch is destroyed every minute. Children around the world lead a climate change strike and more climate protests are expected. Heart breaking news are keep coming from the Amazon Rainforest in Brazil. Can’t help the feeling of sadness and loss and start thinking that must be a silver lining.

Can we regrow what has been lost?

Reforestation is the new beginning, and restoring ecosystems concerns us all.

Can we all take a vital step and help return natural systems and food chains to balance? Sovereign joined a reforestation project which is to be spread out over different locations in Amazon Rainforest countries over the coming months and years. For each page, we plant a tree.

Foundation of this life as we know it, trees protect the soil and create homes, food, and jungle gyms, a vital medium for all living things to blossom. Trees are like love. Without trees, there is nothing.

I was looking at the recent G7 Summit and this year I asked myself different questions than last year, or the years before. What is the role of women in climate change? Where are the women?  While the wives of the G7 leaders were present to support and accessorise their husbands’ image, I expected more women actively leading this year…

Seems that purposeful female leaders with a hunger for social change are only permitted for a meteorically visit in the political sphere, and it will take many Light Years of wonder outside the orbit before being allowed to take political rain. Recent years have shown politics to be more unpredictable than ever and the only certainty is that the electorate has an unfounded, growing hunger for hope and heroes, who could eventually make things right again. But do they?

This question triggers a wave of awareness amongst the realm of businesswomen, who are tired of waiting for others to make good choices for them. Both at home and away, exceptional businesswomen take control of the boardroom and bring prosperity beyond expectations.

How acceptable is to be told what to think, who to be or what to do?

This fall brought us a wave of extraordinary rising businesswomen, who are not ready to settle for less. As Autumn sets in and Summer leaves us behind until next year, leaves have a change in colours. So do we! Sovereign matured it’s colours and now is the best season to take our journey together into holistic wealth, as we take in a breath-taking array of autumnal shades from this month’s edition. I decided to be more daring than usual, and asked our Autumn’s Cover Girl to share with us a day in her life. We went behind the scenes and find out what a day in the life of Evelyn Okpanachi looks like.

Successful people are generously giving away their wisdom and Evelyn is no exception. She is graciously open about how she invests her time and energy in helping others, hopelessly in love with the potentiality that is so evident in every woman, before they can see it themselves. If anything, Evelyn is known for helping others become more– while wrapped up in her deep respect for time and being on time, no matter what, all part of her trademark and personal charisma. As I am writing this letter, Evelyn called me to say that she is about to enter Enfield Mayor’s office to interview her for the new Sovereign podcast series, TLC- Infinite Wealth Mastery.

Looking into our new columnists’ content, I can’t help but notice that Sandra Deira is giving our feelgood- daily- choices her undivided attention. An internationally recognised wellness specialist, whose passion for health inspires us all, Sandra is known for pushing the boundaries of creating better habits, making us aware of that there are things that producers will never “say” it on the tin. Well aligned with her own values for sustainable wellness, she looks at the contrast between healthy and toxic choices, with a fresh pair of eyes. While her solutions are exclusive to her company and not likely to be purchased at your local market any time soon, becoming aware of these choices, as part of a global shift that is taking place in our society and defines wellness as a new lifestyle.

Taking the less travelled road from consumerism to wellness, changing habits, changing perception, becoming aware of what is available, becoming aware of who we become, are big steps into holistic wealth.

There is a lot to learn from The Amazon Rainforest’s disaster: it is never been a better time for planting new trees and new thoughts. On reflection, women and trees are like love. Without them, there is nothing.
