I decided to forget the past and make something of myself for me and for my daughter.

Michelle is known for her generosity of spirit and her talent is recognised internationally, but it was a time when she was crucified by mainstream media for a crime she did not commit. She had to find the strength to survive a massive injustice and now she is The Voice of other invisible survivors , teaching how to be led by compassion.

“I was married to a man who was accused and later arrested for the most heinous crimes imaginable against children. This shuttered my world like nothing else could. Following newspaper headline and TV news depicting my husband’s story in front of the world and almost having my daughter taken away from me, I fell into depression. After some time, well some years, I had a wake-up call.

I decided to forget the past and make something of myself for me and for my daughter.

Michelle, after being crucified by mainstream media, you gave yourself permission to forget the past and make a fresh start, living the past behind. What gave you the courage to survive such a traumatic experience?

“I decided to forget the past and make something of myself for me and for my daughter. I was already really keen on running my own business from the time I was made redundant but knowing that my daughter needed a least one decent role model, I was energised and motivated to do this alone.”

The Invisible Victims

” It was my dream to provide justice to employees who had been mistreated at work. However, I found that it made more sense to change the system rather than those affected, and I started providing a service to employers and businesses to ensure that they were fair, that their procedures and processes were legally compliant and that they developed a great organisation and culture where talent thrived.”

Michelle, your story reminds me of Phoenix, and just like Phoenix, you are born again, arising from your own ashes. Where do you take your inspiration from?

From a young age my mother was my role model and she didn’t just show me the love a mother feels for her child but helped me understand how to invest in assets that make money. Thanks to her, I already own two properties and one now is a multi-home occupancy.
My mother is a true self leader and a visionary entrepreneur and I hope to make her proud.
