Ahead of The Woman Economic Forum in June, Dr Neslyn Watson Druee is connecting us all with leading women from around the world and this time, she is inviting us to meet a local woman who lives in Birmingham. Empowering women infranchising, startups, life by design, are goals many of us want to fulfill. How do you focus on ensuring you achieve your true potential? Rosie Palmer, from Birmingham, is telling us more about her own journey while challenging The Status Quo.
What inspired you to create your business?Rosie Palmer Focused on ensuring to achieve our true potential.
I wanted to show women in their glorious years how to live according to their own rules and their reality. I wanted women to be happy now. Not in 10 years, tomorrow or next week NOW. Transformation Warrior is about coaching and mentoring women to achieve just that
What is your solution for reinventing skills and Lifelong learning?
My solution is simply to take advantage of all the mediums available to adapt, amend or change. Schedule time just for learning. It’s a powerful tool.
What was the biggest challenge you had to overcome to arrive where you are in your life?
The biggest challenge was that I had to prove myself continuously. I had to learn how to be me and be accepted for being me. I soon realised that my barrier allowing my self-belief to fall in line with that others had of me.
What changes need to happen in your local community so women feel empowered and do things they want to do, by themselves?
In my local community changes are being made. Women are Mayors, Senior Pastors, Company directors, Business owners and change agents. They are challenging the status quo. It is refreshing to witness the surge.
What changes need to happen in our society so women feel empowered and able to do things they want to do, by themselves?
Women need to arm themselves with knowledge about their true abilities, about their rights, about how to bring about change .Then we can mobilise and create a force for good. Knowledge is empowering.
