TypeSafe AI is in talks to raise more than $1 billion at a valuation above $10 billion, The Information reported on September 24, in reporting by Steph Palazzolo with Cory Weinberg. The round is being raised, not closed, and the figures have not been independently confirmed. The San Francisco company emerged from stealth barely a week earlier, and the terms under discussion would mark one of the fastest re-ratings the current AI cycle has produced.

## From a $40 Million Seed to a Reported $10 Billion Valuation in a Week

TypeSafe came out of stealth on September 15 with a $40 million seed round led by DCVC. Forbes reported that the seed valued the company at about $200 million. The valuation now under discussion, according to The Information, would be roughly 50 times that figure, reached in the space of days.
