Talos, a provider of [institutional digital asset trading infrastructure](https://www.sovereignmagazine.com/article/ondo-finance-oasis-pro-finra-tokenized-securities), announced on July 22, 2026 that it has integrated Kalshi's event contracts into its platform, giving select institutional clients, including market makers and hedge funds, direct access to [prediction markets](https://www.sovereignmagazine.com/article/prediction-market-traders-newsroom-eventual) alongside crypto perpetuals.

The integration arrives at a significant moment for an asset class that has spent years fighting for regulatory clarity. Kalshi, founded in 2018, became the first CFTC-regulated exchange for event contracts after winning a landmark legal case against the regulator in 2023 and 2024, which established the legality of its political and sports event markets. The CFTC subsequently withdrew a proposed ban on [prediction markets](https://www.sovereignmagazine.com/article/legal-sports-betting-flat-prediction-markets-253513) under new leadership. According to a Congressional Research Service analysis, Kalshi had traded $39.7 billion in the past year as of February 2026, with 87 percent of that volume concentrated in sports-related contracts.

What the Talos integration adds is infrastructure. Institutions can now execute Kalshi event contracts through the same workflows they already use for crypto trading, without building a separate connection.
