SiEngine Technology has taken $200 million of new equity from institutional investors over the first half of 2026, money it will put into research and development, more production capacity, and customers outside China. The investors are not named. SiEngine designs the chips inside ECARX's Antora central computing platforms, which run dozens of vehicle models including Geely Galaxy, Lynk & Co and FAW Hongqi.

ECARX, listed on Nasdaq and headquartered in London, says it remains SiEngine's largest single shareholder. What that means in practice sits in its annual report rather than in the announcement, and it is an unusual arrangement: the software company gets silicon designed around its own system without the chip designer appearing on its balance sheet at anything at all.
