The largest private hospital network in Britain belongs to a company listed in Abu Dhabi. Circle Health, which describes itself in its own words as the UK's largest private hospital network, sits inside PureHealth Holding, and it is no longer an outlying part of that group. A third of PureHealth's revenue now comes from outside the United Arab Emirates.

That share has moved quickly. PureHealth's international care business took $1.3 billion of revenue in the first half of 2026, up 56% on the same period a year earlier, and made $300 million of EBITDA at a margin of 22.2%, ahead of the group's own 19.3%. The jump owes much to Hellenic Healthcare Group, the largest private healthcare provider in Greece and Cyprus, which PureHealth has consolidated and which contributed AED 1.6 billion of revenue in the half.

## The Group Reports in Two Currencies for the Same Half

In dirhams, group revenue rose 9.4% to AED 14.9 billion, EBITDA rose 23.9% to AED 2.9 billion with the margin widening by 2.2 percentage points to 19.3%, and net income rose 20.1% to AED 1.2 billion. The company reports the same six months in dollars as revenue of $4 billion, EBITDA of $782 million and net profit of $337 million. Group revenue for the half was AED 14,851 million against AED 13,574 million a year earlier, and second-quarter revenue was AED 7,588 million against AED 6,993 million.

Shaista Asif, group chief executive, said the half "demonstrated the strength and resilience of our integrated platform model, delivering profitable growth across our business". Asif pointed to the international portfolio continuing to scale alongside insurance and UAE patient activity.

## The UAE Business Is Still the Larger Half

At home PureHealth runs the country's largest healthcare network, more than 20 hospitals with roughly 5,000 licensed beds, and that side took $1.6 billion of revenue in the half. Outpatient volumes rose 7% year on year and inpatient volumes 10%, with bed occupancy across the UAE hospitals reaching 75%. Across the UAE, UK, Greek and Cypriot operations together the group counts 6.1 million patient interactions and 6,900 operational beds, and holds total assets of AED 57.2 billion.

In the UK, Circle Health's revenue rose 6.3% year on year, which the group attributes to a shift towards higher-acuity, more complex inpatient work. Circle has deployed a second Da Vinci 5 surgical system and continued a rollout of robotic orthopaedics. Hellenic Healthcare Group's patient volumes rose 6%, driven mainly by outpatient growth, and it has opened a University of Nicosia campus in Athens.

## An Insurer Sits Alongside the Hospitals

PureHealth is organised in two halves, and the second is insurance. It is anchored by Daman, one of the UAE's leading insurers, whose health business covers 3.4 million members and processes more than 56 million claims a year. Active membership rose 4% year on year to that 3.4 million figure and Daman's net profit rose 9%. Its property and casualty arm, a newer line, underwrote AED 83 million of gross written premium in the half. Group gross written premium was AED 5.5 billion.

Kamal Al Maazmi, the group's chairman, said that "as our international operations continue to expand alongside our established leadership in the UAE, we remain focused on strengthening the resilience of our business, diversifying our earnings base, and reinforcing the foundations for sustainable long-term growth".
