Nasdaq has partnered with the National Bank of Georgia to deploy its Calypso treasury platform across five of the country's largest commercial banks simultaneously, using a centralized shared-infrastructure model that gives each institution its own segregated operating environment within a single installation.

The five banks, Bank of Georgia, TBC Bank, Liberty Bank, Terabank, and Basisbank, will join the platform under the Georgian Market Advancement Program, known as GMAP, which is coordinated through the Georgian Financial Markets Treasuries' Association (GFMTA). The GFMTA was established in November 2018 by the National Bank of Georgia and commercial banks; it now represents 16 entities, including 11 commercial banks, two microfinance organizations, and the Pension Agency of Georgia. Project management costs have been financed by Japan through the Japan-EBRD Cooperation Fund.

Georgia's commercial banking sector has grown at double-digit rates over the past five years, with total assets approaching $38 billion. The GMAP deployment positions the sector to manage that scale with standardized risk, reporting, and settlement infrastructure rather than a patchwork of point solutions.
