Evensong marking the 25th meeting of the Commonwealth Heads of Government held at Westminster Abbey at 3.00pm on 15th April 2018. The Address is given by His Grace the Archbishop of Canterbury, The Most Revd and Rt Hon Justin Welby.
Evensong marks the 25th meeting of the Commonwealth Heads of Government and is held at Westminster Abbey at 3.00pm on 15th April 2018.
The Address is given by His Grace the Archbishop of Canterbury, The Most Revd, and Rt Hon Justin Welby. The keeping and running of this most beautiful of British attractions costs £10 million a year. With no funding from worship or prayer, from the Church, the Crown or the Government, the entry price is the only charge for tourists who generate enough to meet running costs and a limited maintenance programme. To support the major restoration works and exciting future plans such as the new Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Galleries, public generosity is welcome as substantial finance is needed at present.
