Before an electric air taxi carries anyone, somebody has to make its wiring, its fasteners, its composite airframe and its seats. At the Farnborough International Airshow this month, the Indian company developing the e200X named the five firms that will do it.

The ePlane Company, the commercial brand of Ubifly Technologies, was set up in 2019 as a spin-off from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. It showed its first full-scale prototype, designated PT-01, on 20 July. The e200X is a [2.2 tonne electric aircraft designed to carry two passengers and a pilot, or up to 200 kg of cargo, as far as 110 km](https://www.aerotime.aero/articles/indias-the-eplane-company-unveils-e200x-evtol-medical-air-transport-deal).
