San Francisco-based Emergent has closed a $130 million Series C funding round at a $1.5 billion valuation, reaching unicorn status within one year of its public launch and cementing its position as one of the fastest-rising companies in the no-code AI app-building market.

The round was led by Creaegis, with co-leads MNI Ventures, Claypond Capital, and Sentinel Global. Khosla Ventures, SoftBank Vision Fund 2, Lightspeed, and Y Combinator also participated. Total funding now stands at $230 million, and the company's valuation has risen fivefold in four months.

The fundraise reflects mounting institutional appetite for AI app builder platforms that target entrepreneurs and small business owners rather than professional developers. Emergent's commercial traction, more than 200,000 paying customers and an [annual run-rate revenue of $120 million](https://techcrunch.com/2026/07/15/indian-ai-coding-startup-emergent-becomes-a-unicorn-just-over-a-year-after-launch/), suggests that demand for no-code app development tools is broad and, at least for now, accelerating.
