Czechia's largest grid-scale battery storage system has begun operating at Teplice, in the north of the country. It is set up to sell fast-response frequency regulation and balancing power to the grid and to trade on the energy market, as well as to store surplus output from the solar plant beside it.

The site is called KATEMO PARK Modlany. Energy-Storage.news reports that it is now the largest grid-scale battery system in the country, taking the record from a 30 megawatt installation commissioned by IPP Decci Group in 2024.
