Anthropic filed an amended prospectus with the US Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday 2nd November showing about $17 billion of revenue for the three months to 30th September, roughly 12 times the $1.4 billion it took in during the same quarter of 2025. The public prospectus Anthropic filed on 26th October left the third quarter out. The company plans to list its Class A shares on Nasdaq under the ticker ANT, as we reported [when that first filing went public](https://www.sovereignmagazine.com/article/anthropic-stock-ticker-symbol).

## Anthropic's Quarterly Revenue in 2026

- First quarter: $4.7 billion
- Second quarter: $11.6 billion
- Third quarter: about $17 billion

Revenue for the first nine months of 2026 came to $33.24 billion, about 1,200% more than in the same period of 2025 and more than seven times the roughly $4.6 billion Anthropic took in during the whole of last year.

## Revenue Growth Slowed From 144% to 47%

Third-quarter revenue rose about 47% from the second quarter. Revenue had grown 144% in the second quarter and 132% in the first, each measured against the quarter before.

The filing puts part of the slowdown down to pricing. Between the second and third quarters, Anthropic says, price cuts that came with new model versions and contract discounts took about $600 million off revenue that higher usage would otherwise have added.

Anthropic first gave investors a third-quarter figure at a meeting in San Francisco on 14th October, when it put revenue at $16.8 billion, Reuters reported. The figure in the filing is slightly higher.

## A $23.3 Billion Net Loss, Mostly From Accounting Charges

Anthropic recorded a net loss of $23.3 billion for the third quarter and a loss of $104 billion for the first nine months. Most of the nine-month loss comes from remeasuring the value of the company's convertible notes and derivative liabilities. These are non-cash charges, and they grow as Anthropic's own valuation rises, since the notes become more valuable to the people who hold them.

The operating loss for the quarter was much smaller, at about $567 million, according to reports on the filing.

## $895.4 Billion of Compute and Infrastructure Commitments

Anthropic has signed purchase obligations and leases worth about $895.4 billion in total, and the filing says substantially all of that is for compute and infrastructure. Reuters had reported commitments of at least $518 billion over ten years from the confidential draft of the prospectus. The new total is more than 13 times the third quarter's revenue multiplied over a full year.

Much of that money goes to the companies that build and finance Anthropic's computing, including the [Broadcom-backed financing of chips for Anthropic](https://www.sovereignmagazine.com/article/broadcom-anthropic-63-billion-chip-spv-financing) that we reported in October.

## When the Anthropic IPO Could Take Place

Reuters reported that Anthropic is expected to go public before Thanksgiving, which falls on 26th November this year. The listing can go ahead only once the SEC declares Anthropic's registration statement effective. Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley are among the banks running the offering.

## FAQ

**Q: Is Anthropic going to have an IPO?**
Yes. Anthropic, the company behind the Claude AI models, filed a public registration statement with the US Securities and Exchange Commission on 26th October 2026 and an amended version on 2nd November 2026. It plans to list its Class A shares on Nasdaq under the ticker ANT. The shares can start trading only once the SEC declares the registration statement effective.

**Q: What will the Anthropic IPO price be?**
There is no official price yet. A company going public publishes a price range in its prospectus before it markets the shares to investors, then fixes the final price with its underwriting banks shortly before trading begins. Until Anthropic publishes that range, any price you see is an estimate.
